Reform Jewish Congregation Ner Tamid of West Cobb, along with Kennesaw State University’s Hillel Chapter, are proud to present a lecture by Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney for Cobb County Judicial Circuit & Marietta City Councilman Van Pearlberg chronicling the events from the arrest of Leo M. Frank to his lynching in Marietta, GA in 1915.

The free lecture will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2011, 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm, at Kennesaw State University Museum of History and Holocaust Education, KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive , Kennesaw, Georgia 30144 .The Museum’s exhibits will be available for viewing after the lecture. Refreshments provided. See www.mynertamid.org or call 678-264-8575 for more about Congregation Ner Tamid and this event.

The 1913 murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan at the National Pencil Factory in Atlanta, GA set the stage for an ambitious prosecutor; the credibility of Negro vs. Caucasian; the resurrection of the KKK; the election of a Senator; the downfall of a Governor; the fate of a “Yankee Jew” and a lifelong secret to be kept by a 14-year-old boy till his 8o’s.

Congregation Ner Tamid is a growing reform synagogue serving West Cobb, South Cobb, Paulding, Kennesaw, Acworth and surrounding areas. We offer a warm, welcoming environment that feels like home, where people are genuinely interested in your well-being, where you can completely be yourself, where you find peace amongst your Ner Tamid "family." Twice-Monthly Shabbat Services, Hebrew & Religious School, Confirmation & B'nai Mitzvah Classes, Women's & Men's Group activities, etc. are held in borrowed space at various West Cobb locations.
