The groundbreaking series National Theatre Live brings the best of British theatre, direct from the stage to movie theaters around the world.
The next screening is Travelling Light, a play that takes place in an Eastern European shtetl at the turn of the century. It imagines the birth of silent film in a small Jewish community and looks later, set in 1936, at the golden age of Hollywood's beginnings and the many Eastern European immigrants who were working there.
“Travelling Light” will broadcast live at 7 p.m. (local time) Feb. 9 in participating nationwide movie theaters.
