Congregation Ner Tamid, a young and growing dynamic West Cobb Reform Jewish congregation, will be hosting a Chanukah and Mitzvah Shabbat Service on Friday Evening, December 3, 2010.
The evening will begin with a Mitzvah Hour from 6-7pm, followed by a Shabbat Chanukah Service from 7-8pm. During the Mitzvah Hour, we will have several small mitzvah projects available that both children and adults can participate in, including letters to soldiers, goody bags for local firefighters and police, blanket making for Project Linus, and creating toiletry packages for the homeless. Participate in one project or several, as we give back during this Chanukah season. After the Mitzvah Hour, our Chanukah service will include special Chanukah songs, Tot Shabbat with a holiday craft project, and menorah lighting.
Services will be led by Rabbi Thomas P. Liebschutz, D.D., D. Min., and held in borrowed space at Christ Lutheran Church, 176 West Sandtown Rd, Marietta, GA 30064.

Congregation Ner Tamid was formed in May of 2006 to service the needs of north Marietta, Dallas, Kennesaw and surrounding areas. We are an unaffiliated Reform synagogue focused on forming relationships; those between members of our community and your relationship with your synagogue.
Mitzvahs:
Mitzvah Hour from 6-7pm prior to Shabbat services (at 7pm) with Chanukah songs and a menorah lighting.
During this hour, we will have 8 stations, representing each of the nights of Chanukah, where both adults and children can participate in one or several mitzvah projects.
