Join the highly acclaimed Jewish musical duo The Baal Shem Tones as they celebrate the release of their 3rd album "8 Songs for Children."
Festivities begin with a puppet making workshop for the children followed by a family concert featuring the catchy tunes from their latest album.
This event is FREE and open to the public!
Beginning with the impromptu melodies, imagery and humor of real children in Jewish preschools, 8 Songs for Children showcases Helene and Michael Kates’ storytelling talent. The album opens with the warm thunder of South African drums in "Oh Shabbos Come In" and segues seamlessly to a romp amongst a floating menagerie in "Who Built the Teva." From the rollicking call to action with "Mitzvah in Motion" to the tender lullaby "Hashkiveinu," 8 Songs for Children is a collection of surefire hits for the classroom and home.
