The highly acclaimed Jewish musical duo The Baal Shem Tones is excited to announce the release of their third album entitled 8 Songs for Children this October.

10am Puppet Making Workshop, 10:30am Concert
Beginning with the impromptu melodies, imagery and humor of real children in Jewish preschools, 8 Songs for Children showcases Helene and Michael Kates’ storytelling talent. The album opens with the warm thunder of South African drums in "Oh Shabbos Come In" and segues seamlessly to a romp amongst a floating menagerie in "Who Built the Teva." From the rollicking call to action with "Mitzvah in Motion" to the tender lullaby "Hashkiveinu," 8 Songs for Children is a collection of surefire hits for the classroom and home.
In this latest album, The Baal Shem Tones utilized an American instrumental mélange, complete with Hammond organ and a lap steel guitar, to produce a repertoire of foot stomping, knee slapping, melodious and memorable tunes.
